Professor Stovall earned a MA in Mathematics from San Diego State University with an emphasis in education and BS in Management Information Systems from ¹ú²ú͵ÅÄ. After years of teaching mathematics at the high school and community college levels, he has developed a strong passion for helping students see how math connects to the real world. He focuses on creating opportunities for hands-on learning and strives to make mathematical concepts relevant by tying them to practical applications in business, science, and everyday life.
Professor Stovall has taught college mathematics in the greater San Diego area since 2010, including ¹ú²ú͵ÅÄ, Southwestern College, Miramar College, and Cuyamaca College. He has also taught High School math at High Tech High in North County, and The Rock Academy here in Point Loma. He loves surfing and snowboarding and camping with his wife, two daughters and two dogs.
