Dr. Keith Myers is the new Director of Clinical Training and Associate Professor with the Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling (MACC) Online Program that is launching this Fall. He received his Ph.D. in Counselor Education & Supervision from Mercer University. He has practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in mental health for nearly 23 years. He has taught counseling students in higher education since 2010 and has taught full-time in academia since 2017. Myers is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
Dr. Myers鈥� clinical training has primarily focused on serving military clients, first responders, and couples. He is well-published and enjoys giving presentations at professional conferences. Much of his research culminated in co-authoring his first textbook entitled Counseling Veterans: A Practical Guide through Cognella Academic Press in 2021.
Personally, Dr. Myers lives in Georgia with his wife and two boys (8 yrs and 5 yrs), but you might find him attending Atlanta Braves games or watching the reigning college football champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is excited to be a part of the Point Loma community by teaching and mentoring of counseling students while connecting them with quality practicum sites!
